Air Pollution
Overview
This project is intended for Secondary 3 Pure Chemistry students to research on air pollution and to create a wiki page collaboratively by using information available on the Internet.
Objectives
At the end of this project, you should be able to:
Task
Part 1 (Group Work) :
Create a wiki page that should contain at least the following sections:
For each pollutant,
(a) highlight key sources
(b) discuss some effects on health and the environment
(c) state possible solutions to the problems caused
(a) global warming
(b) photochemical smog
(c) ozone depletion
(d) air pollutant index used by Singapore and one other country
The references should be cited in the following format : [name of website] (web link)
For example :
national geographic (http://environment.nationalgeographic.com/environment/global-warming/pollution-overview/)
Plagiarism is strongly discouraged.
Your wiki page will be assessed on:
(1) content
(2) organisation
(3) aesthetic
(4) originality
Part 2 (Individual Peer Review & Reflection) :
Read up the wiki pages set up by other groups from your class. After reading, select two wiki pages and write your reflection using the template provided below.
