Meaning / Definition                 Everything about heartburn

 

                                              

heartburn, also known as acid indigestion is a burning sensation in the chest, just behind the breastbone or in the epigastrium which is the  upper central abdomen. The pain often rises in the chest and may radiate to the neck, throat, or angle of the jaw. Heartburn is usually associated with regurgitation of gastric acid (gastric reflux) which is the major symptom of gastroesophageal.


Causes and Effects

Eventually, the acid wears away at the oesophagus, causing bleeding. If the bleeding is heavy enough, blood can pass into the digestive tract and show up as dark, tarry stools. Esophagitis can also cause ulcers -- painful, open sores on the lining of the oesophagus.also feel painful burning sensation in the chest or behind the breast bone that comes from heartburn uncontrolled heartburn can turn into a very serious problem.coughing or wheezing and pain that gets worse when you're lying down are also effect.the most common symptoms of heartburn is gastroesophageal reflux disease normally from the improper working of the ring muscle that keeps food and acids inside the stomach.it also allow acid to back up in esophagus.Must be treated if not you could end up with serious long-term side effects.When there are lots of acid in your esophagus,it can injure its sensitive lining.it also lead to painful inflammation called esophagitis.the causes of heart burn is go to bed son after eating,drinking too much of alcohol,smoking too much,indulging in spicy foods,drinking too much soda and eating too much chocolate and mint.healthy choices like good diet and regular exercise can help to avoid the heartburn.


Signs and Symtoms

 

  1. a burning sensation in the chest just behind the breast bone after eating.

  3. sour or bitter in the mouth
  4. chronic coughing 
  5. difficulty of swallowing
  6. Feeling food sticking in the middle of the throat. 
  7. sour throat
  8. hoarseness


Prevention and treatment

  • Don't go to bed with a full stomach
  • Don't overeat
  • Eat slowly and more......

  • do not eat food in large portion
  • do not smoke
  • do not drink too much alcohol
  • do not eat too much acidic juice or foods

 

 

      2.  Treatment

  • eating chewing gum,baking soda and licorice
  • herbs like angelica, caraway, clown's mustard plant, German chamomile, greater celandine, lemon balm, milk thistle, peppermint      

  • drinking more aloe vera juice

Good job in putting some information onto the page, but the information seemed to be lacking in details.

Some other suggestions:
1. You may want to include some pictures to help you explain your point.
2. Do not put things like ".... and more", please elaborate on those.
3. Do start your sentences with a capital letter.
4. Do clearly state the various segments, for example, which are the causes? which are the effects?
5. Font size can be consistent.
