Overview
In this section, include a brief description of the allocated ecosystem. You should include the following information:
- The African Savanna biome is a tropical grassland in Africa between latitude 15° North and 30 degrees S and longitude 15 degrees W and 40° West.
- A savannah is a grassland ecosystem characterized by the tress being sufficiently small
- or widely spaced so that the canopy does not close. The open canopy allows sufficient light to reach the group to support an unbroken layer consisting of grass. It is often believed that savannas feature widely spaced, scattered trees. However, in many savannas, tree densities are higher and trees are more regularly spaced than in forest.
Physical Factors
Search the Internet for information on the following physical factors in the allocated ecosystem.
- The temperature of Savannas are warm year round. There are actually two very different seasons in a savanna; a very long dry season (winter), and a very wet season (summer). In the dry season only an average of about 4 inches of rain falls. Between December and February no rain will fall at all. Oddly enough, it is actually a little cooler during this dry season. But don't expect sweater weather; it is still around 70° F.

Interrelationship in Ecosystem
Give at least one example for each of the following relationships in the ecosyste
Parasitism:Parasitism is a type of non mutual relationship between organisms of different species where one organism, the parasite, benefits at the expense of the other
Mutualism: symbiotic interaction between different species that is mutually beneficial
predator-prey relationship: A predator is an organism that eats another organism. The prey is the organism which the predator eats.
