Appendicitis refers to the appendix (located at the right side of your large intestine) being swollen or inflamed, causing pain.the appendix is an organ with quite little functions. The appendix was used to digest leaves that primates (our ancestors) eat as fibre from food take a longer time to get digested than other food.

    Signs and Symptoms

The common symptoms of appendicitis is :

    1)  Dull pain near the navel or the upper abdomen

    2)  Loss of appetite

    3) Vomitting after abdominal pain

    4) Fever of 37.2 degree Celsius up to 38.9 degree Celsius

    Prevention and Treatment

The standard treatment is surgery to remove the appendix. It is also called appendectomy.

Link to Other Illnesses or Diseases

Simple but overly simple. You may imort more pictures or make your webpage more colourful.

Too little information for your References section.
